The Raiders were eliminated from the playoff contention. For four consecutive years, they have not been able to play for the playoffs.
Derek Carr’s New Year’s resolution is to make it to the playoffs.
They made their last Super Bowl appearance in 2002. Since then, the Raiders have only made postseason only once. Carr was not able to play postseason in 2016 due to a broken leg.
“This is a team game,” Carr said, via Vic Tafur. “It doesn’t matter what one side of the ball did and what one side of the ball didn’t. As a team, we did not accomplish anything close to what we wanted to accomplish, so it’s not good enough. Not making the playoffs just can’t be accepted.”
