The Golden Knights played four games and won all four, and is the leading team in the West Division. One of the best decisions that the Vegas Golden Knights made is making Mark Stone the team’s first captain.

Stone joined the Vegas Golden Knights in 2019 when his contract with the Senators was not extended. He officially signed an 8-year contract with the Golden Knights on March 18, 2019. He has shown the team that he can lead and he was also nominated for the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the league’s best defensive forward on April 17, 2019. He became the first Golden Knight player to record a hat-trick in the playoffs when he led the Golden Knights to a 6-3 victory against San Jose Sharks in Game 3 of the 2019 Stanley Cup playoffs.

Mark Stone leading the team hopefully, will help us win the Stanley Cup. If this does happen during his captaincy, he will definitely get to be the first one to hold it.
